Working Win – the South Yorkshire support service helping people with mild or moderate mental health conditions and or physical health conditions to stay in work - has been extended and is taking referrals from November 1st 2020.

The extended service* will support people who are absent from work due to ill health or in-work and struggling. This includes people with health conditions who might be at risk of redundancy due to Covid-19 or otherwise struggling to remain in employment at the current time. The Working Win team will provide practical advice and support to help people manage their health conditions at work, to manage debt and maximise income and to seek alternative employment, where required.

In the extension period, Working Win is looking to support 450 people who are currently in a job but off sick/struggling to remain in employment. Participants should be residents in South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw.

The main referral method will be online via the www.workingwinreferrals.co.uk website, which will re-open on November the 1st. Telephone referrals can be made on 0114 2900 218, Mon – Fri during office hours. Due to the short referral window (3-months), the Systm1/EMIS referral route will not be operational during the extension, though practices may continue to use the secure inbox: workingwin@syha.cjsm.net

Referrals for GPs to use will open on November 1st and close on January 31st 2021. The service will continue until March 31st 2021.

*The service delivered in this period is not part of the randomised control trial. All eligible participants can receive the service, subject to capacity, and there is not a control group to which people are randomly assigned.
