A series of educational events have been launched to support professionals working with people affected by cancer.

Each workshop will cover a specific area relating to the Living With and Beyond Cancer programme, including Holistic Needs Assessments, the recovery package and cancer and mental health.

Learning and Development Lead for the Living With and Beyond Cancer Programme, Sally Furness, has coordinated the training days.

Sally said: “Attending a session is a unique opportunity for professionals to enhance their skills to help them deliver personalised care and support for people living with and beyond cancer.

“Some sessions have proved really popular and are already fully booked but there are some places available across the range of courses, so there’s still time to join a workshop.”

Sessions will take place on selected dates between September and November this year at Hellaby Hall in Rotherham, Cedar Court Hotel in Denby Dale and The Source in Sheffield.

More information on the courses and dates available can be found here.
