Nicola is a compassionate and committed professional who loves to work with teams to culturally improve the lives of those who work in our organisations. Nicola took up the position of Director of People and Organisational Development in August 2020, following a role as HR Operations Director at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, which she held from 2016. Nicola has previously held senior roles in HR, OD and Operations in FMCG environments including United Biscuits, Morrisons Supermarkets plc and Jet2.com. Nicola has a BSc (Hons) degree and is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development. Working in the NHS and the experience of working in very commercial and customer focused businesses allows Nicola to take a very open flexible and dynamic approach as she loves to embrace the diversity of challenges that face us all. She is keen to measure as much as possible so that difference can be celebrated, although she appreciates that immediate impact does always happen as most cultural change evolves. Nicola believes in empowering all to lead with an authentic style and loves to develop those she works with both internally and externally. Nicola is very passionate about equality and colleague wellbeing as well as doing the right thing as a leader, always ensuring that the people have a voice and feel valued at work. Being a trustee of a Charity and a dedicated single parent and carer allows some down time for Nicola to spend outdoors replenishing her energy in the hills with walks in the open air.
