The South Yorkshire Health and Social Care Integrated Programme Hub aims to support and facilitate the development and embedment, by 2024, of the innovative Enhanced Social Care Skills Programme project for the social care workforce with health cost benefits.
This includes promoting partnership working and aligning to the NHS New Ways of Working ambitions.
The Enhanced Social Care Skills Programme:
- Commissioned evaluation of existing training and career frameworks in partnership with Skills for Care
- Registration of Carers – Professional
- Full research Master Dissertation being completed by Jacqueline Clark, Head of Prevention and Early Intervention and Strategic Commissioning, Adult Care, Housing and Public Health at Rotherham Council
- Development of new training programme to be targeted at Social Care home care services
- New training to be piloted across Rotherham and Doncaster test bed
- Piloting of enhanced role
- Evaluation of project
- Share modelling across the Health and Social Care Sectors
