Reasonable Adjustment

 

It is estimated that there are around 13 million people who are currently peri, post or menopausal in the UK which is equivalent to 1/3 of the entire UK female population.  Average age of menopause in the UK is 51 years, but around 1 in 100 people experience it before the age of 40 years.  There are more than 45 recognised symptoms of menopause.  42% said that their symptoms were worse or much worse than they expected.  Symptoms last, on average, between 4 – 8 years. More than a third said it had impacted their work life.  74% of the NHS workforce are female
