System Thinking – These past months we have shared time with Clair Clarke (TEEA Lead) taking us through a ‘Systems Thinking’ process, activating a focus on ‘Connecting the Unconnected’ to build the programme pillars. Also spent time with our colleagues F2F, Principal OT’s, Amanda Greenhalgh (Sheffield City Council) and Leonie Manyou (City of Doncaster Council) establishing our ‘route’ to AHP Leadership opportunities alongside our AHP Faculty team members.

Focus One - Nursing Workforce in the Social Care Sector
Great start to the summer, partner organisations from across SY gathered to begin the journey of creating the Nursing Workforce - Social Care Sector, with a primary focus on training and development. We welcomed and thanked, Cathy Winfield (Chief Nurse SY ICB) for agreeing to be our SRO for this important step towards furthering integrated working, bringing also Sarah Fisher (Professional ACP Lead) who is supporting the H&SC Lead as Co-Chair for this work. Now the initial scope has been completed, the Task & Finish groups (Training, Development, Commissioning, Digital, Peer Group Support) are established and led by, John Chamberlain (Workforce Development Manager Sheffield City Council), Fiona Craig (Safeguarding Adults and Clinical Quality Lead, SY ICB) and Sarah Fisher (SY ICB).
If anyone is interested in joining the board, please feel free to contact Jo Cameron jo.cameron4@nhs.net.

‘Our very own Jo Cameron attended the launch of the Adult Social Care Workforce Strategy in London at the Conrad Hotel by personal invitation from Professor Oonagh Smyth CEO of Skills for Care. This is a national piece of work, undertaken since the later part of last year in which Jo has been involved with working alongside national colleagues, specifically in the area of Integration: 'Seven Expert Working Groups came together around a specific area of focus to bring together provider representatives, people drawing on care and support, and other stakeholders including education, health, housing and other specialists. They used an evidence base to identify challenges and make recommendations as to how these could be resolved. A Workforce Strategy for Adult Social Care in England’
