Chief Allied Health Professions Officer: We are delighted to update that we have two South Yorkshire shortlisted nominations for the national CAHPO Awards 2024. Congratulations to Katherine South (TRFT) and Helen McAlinney (SY ICB).
Strategic Plans: Following a number of timeouts we have now devised and completed the SY ICB and AHP Faculty strategic plans for 24/25. We’ve ensured this approach has been developed with the perspective of our regional AHP Workforce Training and Educational Lead, and the Chief AHPs in the South Yorkshire system.
Publications: We are proud to update that we have had a recent publication featuring the AHP Faculty and leadership placements in Synergy, the publication for the Society and College of Radiographers. There is also an upcoming publication in the September edition of OT News we want to celebrate, this features a cohort of Occupational Therapy apprentices who also had a placement in the AHP Faculty.
Preceptorship: Work on Preceptorship for South Yorkshire AHPs is gaining pace with organisations and the ICB creating an AHP action plan for 24/25 to include in inception of an AHP Preceptorship Working group and clear processes on sharing Preceptorship best practice.
