2024/2025 saw the start of 76 new trainee ACPs throughout the region and included new areas such as midwifery and paediatric tACPs in general practice!

Sarah and Cheryl had their first publication in July 2024 evaluating the work and success of the programme.
Four Governance maturity matrix workshops were rolled out throughout the region supporting provider organisations to implement governance and assurance processes in place to ensure patient and practitioner safety in the current absence of advanced practice regulation. Further work is now underway to develop the current framework.
South Yorkshire ACP leads from acute trusts, mental health, community, urgent care, primary care and hospices have also formed into a regular leadership meeting, led by the ICB team to bring together knowledge, expertise and collaborate on future events and best practice. The aim is to develop the workforce with standardised training and support.
We have many exciting developments to pursue through 2025-2026 and look forward to writing this reflection again next year!
